i brought the dvd from amazon but was wondering if something had been skipped on the opening scene, so just to confirm; the opening scene is the bar scene with the 2 girls, right?

no..the opening scene is with everyone loaded up into the trucks, and then shipped into their camp. You meet the characters through the conversations on the trucks.
