Colin Farrel's best performance?

I don't think that I have seen a better performance from colin farrel since the making of this movie. I have never liked him as an actor, but he gave a truly convincing performance in this film. I was also amazed at the job that Clifton Collins (the butcher) did in this movie. The fight scenes were awesome, and it didn't seem like farrel gave any forced performances. It seems like he just went downhill from this film, though.

I thought ColinĀ“s best performance was Tigerland , until i saw Ask the Dust , his performance as Arturo Bandini is much better than Tigerland. I read that Colin ask for the role because he loved the book and i feel that he get into the character very well. But Tigerland is very special the same as Phone Booth , because when i saw Phone Booth (the first movie i saw of Colin Farrell), I was like wow who is this great actor?

He was fantastic in this, A Home at the End of the World, The New World, Intermission, and most recently In Bruges. While sometimes he's a little too ambitious (Alexander the Great..?), for the most part I think he chooses his roles well. He seems to me like a pretty bright guy.

I have seen all of Colin's movies and have always thought Tigerland was his best work. He paid very close attention to the subtleties. I didn't see him do that again until Miami Vice. What really stood out for me in Tigerland was the way he used his eyes and not his words to tell us how the character felt. He finally nailed it again in Miami Vice. Now, after seeing In Bruges I'm torn between it and Tigerland as his best work.

Here's how I would rank Colin's best 3 performances:
1.In Bruges
2.Tigerland
3.Cassandra's Dream

I chose 3 because I have yet not seen Alexander and Minority Report and I'm hoping they will get spots #4 and 5- in other words, those seats are reserved, lol.

In my opinion, Guy Ritchie should have cast Farrell as Mickey the Pikey in Snatch rather than Brad Pitt. Brad was good, but Colin would have fit the part better.

Tigerland had been my favorite but now it's In Bruges. I keep having to pinch myself, "This is the same guy from Miami Vice?" Awesome performance by Farrell. A New World would rank third on my list of favorites.

Farrell was excellent in this. I think Farrell is a very underrated actor, overall.

I don't know for sure, but it is as good as any. He's as good as any actor in his age group, that's for sure. I have seen him pull along a lot of films that I otherwise would not have kept watching.

Miami Vice. Michael Mann has a knack for turning stars into the actual character they're playing, and the actor disappears into the story. That, for me, is great acting, and suited the role of undercover vice cop Sonny Crockett perfectly. He's a joy to watch in this film.

I'd have to say his performance in In Bruges is his best.

"ITS JUST A COUCH!"
