I love this movie!

It makes me laugh my butt off! I'd give it an 8/10. I can understand why some people who only grew up with the Karloff version would hate it though.

When the Story Lady tells us about the naughty boy who blew up his goldfish.

I just watched it again and forgot how watchable Jim Carrey made this film. The part where he said "I'm gonna throw up, and then I'm gonna diiiiieeeee!" made me laugh really hard for some reason.

i don't care what the critics or anybody else says, i thought this movie was good. it was enjoyable to watch and Jim Carrey was great as the Grinch and so was the rest of the cast, they were great as well! i know the original cartoon film was short but to turn this into an hour and 45 minute film was something they had to expand this movie and come up with ideas for the characters background story and it was all good! some funny moments it had, the make up is amazing and the cgi graphics was incredible!

You used to be able to add goofs as a user.now I guess you have to be a paying member to do that. So I have to pay to debate people and the dumb things this site let post. The last goof says when the grinch says "Yes! Down a size and a half" that it automatically means that because the narrator said his heart was 2 sizes too small that this means it's now 3 and a half sizes too small so when his heart grew 3 sizes later it was still a half size too small. That is an assumption.
#1we don't know what size his heart was to start with at this point.
#2this is probably a nod to the book/narrator about his heart being two sizes too small.
#3in the movie when his heart grew three sizes you see it burst open the little box its in meaning that his heart now is one size too large.

I hate assumptions. Especially when I can't debate the people.

I love it too. I'm in awe of Carrey's interpretation of the Grinch. His acting was superb. Who else could have been as comical with the facial gestures and body movements as Jim. Not one sole. The closest maybe, Chris Cattan. But it wouldn't be close to what Carrey did.
