I've seen this movie dozens of times and it's still hilarious. I'm trying to understand why so many people around here hate it. Do you guys hate it simply because it's different from the book?
Is there anyone who hasn't read the book but still hates the movie?
Well how old are you? To be blunt, I find it hard to believe your parents didn't read you Dr. Seuss as a child. To answer the question, I love this movie too. I saw it on the first day when I was 10.
shareMy parents never read the book to me. I was born in 1975. I never even saw the book till my teens. A kid I babysat has it. Not all parents read to their kids.
shareActually I never liked the book or cartoon till this movie came out. I just thought the whole story was dumb. When I got married my husband enjoyed it so I'd watch the cartoon with him. As I got older I started to enjoy it. Then the movie came out and I loved the movie. I now enjoy all three.
