shareI dunno. All we know now that we didn't know then was deep down inside, Lester Burnham probably really wanted Col.Fitts to kiss him. Col Fitts doesn't commit suicide and instead absconds with Lester Burnham to some gay retreat in Key West, resulting in a completely different movie.
