The fact the character are animals

They don’t ever seem to acknowledge the fact that the characters are animals acting out like a human society. Do the characters still have the animal behaviors and characteristics in terms of things like the food they like and their culture? Also are they trying to make political statements about each character? Like are the ape characters supposed to represent black people?

The thing that really made me spitting mad was when Buster the rabbit-boy went to Vermont to film these farmers and it turned out to be TWO women and they gave him a reach-around. I'm like "WTF am I paying taxes for?"
