Does this show have a story arc/continuation between eps?

Is this show serialized, where episodes build on top of each other, or is it just an episodes of the week kind of show with no continuity?

There was relative continuity, but it was generally your episode of the week type show.

The characters sort of develop over the series, but the show is mostly "disaster of the week". The "Breaking Bad" type continuity wasn't popular outside of soap operas when this show was released.
