Most rewatchable film?

In my opinion this is the most watchable film of all time I thinki have seen this over 50 times I have literally grown up around it, the extended cuts especially worth watching over again and each time I notice something new. Although I don't know which one I prefer...

reply

Agreed. All three of the Lord of the Rings movies are re-watchable. I have been watching them since I was 7 years old and plan to keep re-watching them until I die. I think I have seen all of them around 50 times each.

reply

50 f^ck&ng times each?! Have you never seen any other movie?

reply

I agree with you 100 percent OP. LOTR is a modern day classic. :)

Iron Maiden is bigger than Jesus.

reply

I think that i appreciate them as i watch them just as much as the previous time. Sometimes even more. Theyre arguably the greatest movies ever made

reply

Have to agree. Me and my brother pretty much based our childhood around this. This and black hawk down both my most rewatchable films

reply

Not even close to one of my most rewatchable films. Don't get me wrong, I think there was a lot done right with the movies (music, scenery, and costumes were excellent). But the characters and the story detract so much from the movie that I can't enjoy it. That, and the green goo Army of the Dead - try as I might, that will forever stick in my head as a horrible blight on the trilogy.

WTF are you talking about, this mvoie had some of the most memorable characters ever!

reply

This is the second or third time I saw the movie and liked it.

I'm sorry but I'd love to forget just about every one of the characters from the movies. I loved the characters in the books; the movies mostly destroyed each and every one of them for me. The hobbits' ending especially sucked. I wish they would have left that pub scene out.

I realize many people love the movie which is great. My opinion is simply that: my opinion. If I was to rank the movies, I'd put FotR somewhere in my top 50, TTT in my top 200, and RotK would be in my bottom 100.

reply

Agree OP watched it last month during Christmas vacation. Just purchased the EE yesterday and watching it now. I've made it through FOTR & TTT. I'll watch ROTK after the football games glad it's a 3 day weekend lol😀

I love Pink & Green.......

reply

No way the films are very average compared to the books and to be rated higher than the original Star Wars trilogy is a joke.

reply

The movies is far better than the books because the books just so boring to me. Also, many film critics put LOTR and Star Wars in the same list top 100 films of all time, so it's fair if LOTR got higher rating. You can state that your opinion to The Dark Knight or The Shawshank Redemption.

reply

The Shawshank Redemption and The Return of The King are the best movies ever.

All 3 are the most rewatchable movies ever
