star wars or lotr which one is a better triology and why?

I'm pretty sure this has been debated a million times before, and you are going to get answers on this board clearly skewed towards The Lord of the Rings. And with that being said: I prefer LOTR over SW, just simply because I love the Middle Earth that Jackson created more than the Star Wars universe. They are both great movie trilogy's, that's for sure. But I am just more intrigued and captivated by the fantastical elements of the Lord of the Rings.

Stupid as it sounds, and given how much I do love SW, I prefer LOTR because it is more grounded (what!). It is more human, it feels like Earth, it feels like real people. (Ok, Orcs, Shelob, an eye...I know). It just feels more real to me.
Like Harry Potter feels real given that it's Wizards n'all.

SW, is more science fiction, hyper drives etc. The question should be SW or Star Trek.

That's really almost a "which one is better, roast beef or apple pie?" type of question. There's no real answer because although they're both movies (and really not even that since LotR is based on best selling novels) that's about all they have in common.
