I find this game difficult in that although the missions and progression are detailed in your journal, I have a hard time fighting mobs or knowing exactly where to go and what to do.
I'd just want to develop a character through the trilogy.
If you're having a hard time beating the mobs, then maybe you shouldn't fight them just yet. Go get another level and some fancy equipment.
And you are almost always told where to go in one way or the other. Keep your ears and eyes open and your brain warm.

Pick up, read and save all letters you find. Help is usually found there. Also the journal will help you find your way. It's all there, but you have to pay attention.
sharewhat really fixed me up was a walkthrough. there are plenty good ones on the net, just search on google
