I started to say I would watch it but then I checked and saw Sean Penn is in it. I can't stand to watch anything with him in it. Thanks for the pointer, anyway.

Really? Why? I never really liked him that much either but I never let any actor get in the way of my enjoyment of a movie much at all.

Well she let her American accent slip in quite a few scenes throughout MD. Despite that she's always been a good actress. She's versatile and can play very different characters - eg in Eastern Promises and 21 Grams.

In the trivia it said she was ready to quit acting after this movie but nicole kidman told her to stay. I guess it worked out great for her. 21 grams is great.

Of course she can, and if you don´t like Sean Penn, try Funny Games, The Painted Veil, The Impossible. she´s great in those too.

Maybe the terrible scene she first practiced with Rita and then went to play at the audition.
