sequel?

I think Gene Simmons has the connections, he should try and get someone to try for a sequel.

Any plot ideas?

Do you agree?

My thought is simple, early 80's, have mystery still together and actually playing giggs when all the sudden Ace and Peter leave and then, KISS takes off their makeup! Mystery loses their inspiration for their band and their performance suffers as well as their giggs. Nobody wants to here KISS music anymore since the band isn't the originals and in makeup anymore......take it from there, they could split up, find different inspiration and turn into a funnny type 80's retro band, or have crappy lives untill mid 90's when KISS got back together and in makeup, not to mention played in detroit for their first show back.

Any suggestions???

I'd love to see a sequel to "DRC" but it's doubtful. The original tanked at the box office so no studio is going to bankroll another one.

I think a sequel would have the POTENTIAL to be amazing, but I truly don't think it could happen.

The movie didnt get much hype, and most people have never even heard of the first, so why would they want to see a sequel?

And anyone who liked it it would probably agree that it's best not to tamper with the magic of the original Detroit Rock City.

Funky idea, but their songs want to go to a concert... they follow their steps... Or their daughter... They all got daughters, and we know, dad are super provetective with their daughters...

Or even better...The boys grew up, they kept in touch but nothing so much more...When they about the KISS concert of the group reunion, both boys tries to together, but there might be some problems... as children, wives...

It's too late. You'd barely recognize the kids. If it was like 2001 righ now or something, then yeah but I don't think so now. Sequels are rarely that good anyways and DRC was good enough.

There is a movie coming out called Detroit Metal City
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1142972/

But its a japanese film but it has Gene Simmons, its apparently based on a manga though, so its not a sequel, but it would be cool if it was.
