This movie should of been based in 1992 and the band should of been GNR
Guns N Roses
For obvious Reasons =)

No way. The 70's vibe is what makes the movie great.
share1992? NIRVANA MOVIE?
shareI think we need to be a bit further away from 1992 before it's really funny like this was :-)
its not just me, nobody likes you!
GNR were never as much fun as KISS were! I do like GnR but Axel is quite the p****.
shareAnd pompous *beep* Gene Simmons isn't a p****?=D

While I do agree that old Axle Grease does sound quite similar to a chimpanzee, at least he wasn't stupid enough to take himself out of the big picture intentionally. The way you termed your reply, you make it sound like his head was accidentally blown off. Lol. Either way, I never really liked Kiss all that much, but they're definitely a better choice for a movie like this one. Of course I'm just old enough to actually remember the 70's, which really helps you relate to the movie.
shareI guess you'll have to list these "obvious" reasons, because nobody else can see them. GNR were NEVER as big as KISS was in the mid to late 70s as far as a crazy fan base like this.
shareObvious reasons?
Seriously? You mean you never watched Terminator 2? One of the main stars was Furlong, and GnR did the soundtrack. There is also an obvious reference to the band with symbolism in the movie as Arnie produces a GUN concealed in a box of...ROSES!
Wow, some of you people amaze.
Live for nothing, or die for something, your call.
I do like both Kiss and GNR but this movie was fun. it was disappointing for me here once to see a movie titled "Welcome to the Jungle" but then find out this was not about Guns N Roses
Rob Zombie is one of the greatest directors today
