The Finale? Poor Holly

Holly was about to move in with Spence since she didn't have a place to live. Danny was gonna move in with the girl he met there that he had a crush on, so the 4 of them all could have had a place to live, but then Danny decided to stay room mates with Spence. However, that leaves poor Holly homeless and on the streets.

Sure, she's a complete idiot when it comes to picking boyfriends and can't see obvious signs of guys that will treat her bad, and rejects guys that would treat her good, but other than that, she's actually a really good person. She didn't deserve to be left on the street homeless and pregnant.

And even if Danny and Spence would miss each other, they can still visit each other even if they lived with different people. They could still make plans to hang out with each other.

Too bad they did not bring back Ritchie for the final episode & have him hooked up with Holly...

reply

Richie died in 9/11

reply

No he didn't. I mean I have heard this as a fan theory because he left without explanation around that time, but there was absolutely nothing in the show suggesting this to be the case.

reply

He did.

I want evidence.

I have written this before, and I will reprise it. I make up my own plots in absence of what they tell us happened. Here is my version of what happened with Richie, and Holly:

When 9/11 happened, Richie was traumatized. He decided to leave New York, for a whole new scene. He moved to Los Angeles, and joined the fire department there.

He came home for a wedding, of his brother or cousin. It was held in another banquet room of the venue Arthur had his wedding to Ava/Veronica... on the same day!! Spence and Richie met up in the mens room and Spence brought Richie into Arthur's reception.

Richie and Holly's eyes met, and nothing more needs to be said.....

I like your idea! Do you also have a theory as to what happened to Sarah Spooner haha

reply

She didn't exist. No, really. She simply never existed. Maybe she was a hallucination in the first few episodes?

Yes I do, I have given it before but it has been awhile, so here it goes again!

Sara married a wealthy businessman who is based in Hong Kong. It all came about as she was dating him quietly and didn't tell him her home circumstances.

Sara has been living in Hong Kong ever since and never comes back around Queens. She & Carrie had a blistering fight when she was leaving, about the secrecy thing. Sara sends no money for Arthur, though she could well afford it.

After the fight, Carrie forbade any mention of Sara ever again. Sara is dead to Carrie. Even Arthur complies. It is very serious.

Does this ending imply Danny and Spence were a gay couple after all?

reply

I don't think they are gay, especially Danny...

reply

She was a naive doofus on the show and that was funny, yes. But toward the end of the show she got married to a pretty wealthy man who owned a limo service - ? - in the city , remember? Carrie was SO jealous.... If this was real life, and they split up, despite her woe-is-me, she would NOT be cast out into the street, homeless, poor, and pregnant. She would have had a pre-nup and she could certainly take the rotten husband to the cleaners. We are not living in Victorian times where the rotten men could abuse and abandon their wives!

reply

Probably what you say is true.

But Holly also did not have the "smarts" to know how to navigate a divorce. Or a relationship, for that matter.

She just let people dump on her, and assumed that that's the way it's supposed to be. And, to boot, she probably blamed herself for her predicaments -- while avoiding putting any blame on the husband/boyfriends who abused her.

In short, Holly was a hot mess.
