No Sampson?
I haven't seen this film, but I'm a big fan of the Alex Cross novels. Is there really no Sampson in this film? How could they do that?

No Sampson, the relationship with Cross and Flannigan isn't there. The movie is not a good redition of the book. I had to read and watch it for a school assigment. The only thing that carries over other than some of the caracters is the basic basic plot of the book. Alex doesn't have any children, he was never married, and he doesn't help Gary/Soneji either. All in All the movie doesn't add up to the book.
shareWow, that's a shame. I know it's difficult for a 2-hour movie to have the same elements as a 500-page novel, but still, that's a lot of important stuff to leave out.

I know it's so disappointing that Sampson isn't in the movies. he's a great character and one of my favorites in all of James Paterson's Alex Cross novels. Howevre, Sampson did make a short appearance in the movie version of Kiss the Girls but he was Alex's "cousin" instead of his best friend and partner.
