The American opening credits...
...are pretty awful, aren't they? They don't match up with British prgramme at all. I wonder if the Americans found them confusing!

They aren't the original US credits of course which were very similar to the UK peepholes .. rather the movie credits created from 1978 initially for syndicated sales to the US after the network rights expired (and to extend the timeslot to c100 min with US ads).
