Anaemic music

I'm (re)watching this movie and I noticed (again) that most of the background music is really low in volume. So much so that it kind of detracts from the celebratory mood that it's intended to create. It's really just a kind of indistinct background noise. Music tends to do a lot to set the tone of a movie (for me at any rate), and I think this might be why this movie has never managed to impress me that much (even though I typically do enjoy this type of movie very much). Anyone else notice this/feel this way?

I think the music, and mix of the music is just fine. One of the key things that I remember from the film is the soundtrack. Depends on your preference for sound mixes though.
