Ok - this is making me nuts: When Steven asks to borrow Mark's essay, why does Mark hand him a ruler? I'm sure this is just something I'm missing but it's driving me crazy.

That's just to show that Mark is completely enthralled by -- what's her name, Wendy? -- and not hearing a word Steven says. ;)
