If John was so paranoid . . . . .

. . . . then how likely is it he would have gone to the public washroom looking for sex wearing his school uniform? He was a high profile student at a prestigious private school in a smaller city--it seems to me given how paranoid he was he would more likely have gone wearing street clothes and sunglasses.

Just a minor, minor point.

You'd think that would make sense, but in TV/Movieland, people aren't as clever as in real life. If I were that way inclined, I'd make sure I'm miles from home when looking for sex, and certainly not not in anything as identifiable as a school uniform.

John might have just made a one-time stop there on a whim - out of curiosity. You don't always think these things through in advance.

And if he were to run into someone he knew, there are two pretty good defenses - 'what are you doing here yourself?' and 'I was on my way to - - - , and when you gotta go, you gotta go.' The fact that he was in uniform makes the latter more, not less plausible.

On the other hand, there's Steven. He might not have been as paranoid as John, but he sure was not out and proud. Yet he was apparently hanging out there on a regular basis. What was that about?

"Nothing personal. Your name just happened to come up."
