Personally, I thought it was a great movie, great script, great acting. I know this is gonna sound weird, but I didn't seem to like it. I kind of knew what was going to happen with Steve and John because it's usually what happens with secret gay lovers in movies. I also didn't like the ending. Well, that's just because I'm a sucker for cheesy, happy, romantic endings.
shareIt is actually a very common story and in general we wouldn't think these kind of movies wouldn't get super high comment. But my god, THIS MOVIE WAS HANDLED SO WELL! Every aspect in this movie is wonderful! I can't help saying FANTASTIC! I can feel the talents of the people who made this film. Intelligent! Delightful!
shareI caught this movie already on late last night and missed the ending too.but i did like what i had seen. My stupid dvr cut off too soon and the last scene i saw was when steven came home after playing in the pool with john. Was that close to the end of the movie? I may have to go rent the dvd, so i can see it from begining to end.
shareThis was an incrwedible film. I stumbled across it on film4 last night. Its thoughtful, intelligent, emotional, and, despite the fact that it is nearly 10 years old, Its a good representation of what its like to be a gay young person in society. I know.
I was however, a bit iffy on the coming out scene. I think that was inaccurate and would almost never happen.
A lot of time, history takes just one man to start. Like our beloved Dr. Martin Luther King that so many of us remember and will always do! I envy those folks who are always comfortable with themselves or who they are and not struggling or minimize it.

this movie was not nearly as good as SHELTER(another gay movie) or any other gay movie. I found it dull and predictable.also i didn't like the cast (esp.the caracter of the so-called hunky classmates john...they just didn't match)the soundtrack the script i mean all in all it was a very average movie......for not saying bad about coming out.not like BEAUTIFUL THINGS which turned out to be really good.
