I saw it at last,
I rent the american
version (as this was
I got from the rent
shop (I am from Israel
so we are regin 2 but
my dvd player play both)
I agree it is good film
it show as it ea in those
years. I didn't like the end,
even it doesn't say that
they broke their relation
it stay open.Steven left
John to think.
I believe the decision to
come out on prize event
was the result
of what happened minutes
before between John and Steven.
John eas left alone as his friends
go and he dtand in the hall alone.
SO i think they understand well
what happened.
John had to accept hinself.

It is needed a squel,not ten
years later, bit vthe nonth laterbut if squelwill come it can't be with same actors....

Well Selag - if you read the other posts here, at least some of your comments or questions were addressed.

One can never be sure, people are free to change their minds but I'm pretty sure Steven & John's relationship is off. Steven gave him many chances and in the final analysis, John just isn't strong enough to be his own person and accept his Gayness.

Perhaps John will later, but Steven has moved on. Personally, I would have liked a happy ending, but I don't think it would have been as powerful. The ending as filmed makes people think - about how sad it is Gays have to be closeted, denial by parents they may have a Gay child; the very real possibility of violence by ignorant folks like Kevin...etc.
