That's too bad. I just watched it via Netflix. I remember 10 years ago I was in the video store by my parents' house and I came across this movie. I read the back cover and I wanted to rent it then, but I was in high school, not out of the closet yet, and there were several kids from my high school working at that video store. It was a long time coming for me to watch this movie, but I finally did. I doubt you would find this movie in American video stores or stores like Best Buy now, but Netflix had it, so maybe if you have an online video rental where you live you can get it from there. At least that way you could see it one more time. Or maybe since it's a gay-themed movie, you can try a video store in a gay neighborhood. If they don't have it, they might at least know where you can get a copy.
Yes I got the german version 2 days ago. the funy thing is the picture on it different from the anglo/american one. The more strange thing ,in the car are steven and john instead of linda and steven...
I'm sure it's a simple matter of supply and demand, not some other sinister forces at work. Lots of titles go out of print, then get picked up later once the studio realizes it can profit from them.
I was fortunate to find this on VHS for a buck, and it was a bargain at twice the price. This is a beautifully directed, wonderfully acted film.
Wow, what a find! I wish I had Big Lots near me, because I constantly hear of them having cheap DVDs. Was it a widescreen DVD, and did it have any bonus features?
Thanks for the tips! Those are great titles. It's amazing that they'd be so cheap.
Does Big Lots have music CDs also? And what else do they have? I imagine it's kind of like a Dollar Tree-type place with a lot of merchandise made in China for rock-bottom prices?
Great, thanks for the information! I love scouring thrift stores and clearance centers, so I don't mind dealing with the mess in search of bargains. Thanks again.
