a 10 year reunion perfect excuse for a sequel

Just my opinion, surely someone out there with connections could convince and influence all involved for a cast reunion of both leads and a worthy script to create a sequel to this great Gay film.

It can be done, and now is the right time to develop a script that uses a class reunion as a backboard for a sequel. Too much time WILL PASS if no one ever takes up the challenge soon.

Any thoughts on the subject?

Some of the cast haven't acted much or at all since this movie. I doubt they'd be up for it.

Actually i read an interview with Ben Silverstone recently and he said that the idea of a sequel has been floating about and that he would be up for it. And Brad Gorton is still acting so there is a chance it may happen.
It would be cool. I would imagine that John Dixon would still be in the closet. Probably married with kids and sneaking off to sleep with guys in secret. It would be interesting to see the characters meet up again a decade later.

Where did you read this interview? I've been searching the net and keep coming up with old stuff. This is so exciting to hear he'd be up for it. I'd love to see Charlotte Britain again too.

I would actually love there to be a sequel! The movie was sooo critical and important for the LGBT community when it came out. Actually with Beautiful Things this was for me one of the first gay movies I have seen in my life and they greatly impressed me and formed my identity I suppose.

I would imagine the sequel - and somebody already mentioned this - similarly to what Before Sunset was to Before Sunrise. It played at a very different stage and this could also. I would not wish for a low-key romantic drama but more of a high-end classical play as the previous film was with real characters set in their lifes. I am currently 32 so this would actually fit with my life and see how these two guys would act when meeting again...

Actually this quite reminded me of Jay Bells novel Something Like Summer (http://www.jaybellbooks.com/books/something-like-summer/) - btw, there are four chapters to read for free and I assure you, you will fall for this.
I am not saying that the sequel should copy this... just as an inspiration. :)
