Have you read the fan fiction?
If you like the idea of a sequel to this movie, go to bensilverstone.net because you can read stories written by several fans of the movie.
If any of you have already read some of those stories, do you have any favorites?
I have read more than half of the stories there, and I don't think they are all well-written, but there certainly are some good ideas.
My favorite story is the one that comes closest to the way I would have written one myself. It's called "The Longest Day," and it gives us a very believable way to have John and Steve reunite. My favorite part of that story goes like this:
Raymond Dixon says to Steve, "I think that my son is gay. I think that he has been in a relationship with you, and that the two of you were alone in our house over that weekend. Am I right?"
In his mind, Steven's hands were on the closet doors [of John's closet]. As he felt himself nodding, he imagined turning the handle and opening the door, revealing John curled up and shaking inside. The image was enough to bring tears to his eyes, and he slowly started to cry again.
