shareAlways figured it was because he was summoned to "kill the Killian family." The Horseman has to follow the command explicitly.
shareHe was probably there when the adults were talking about the widow winship and so lady van tassel decided to get rid of him incase he said something.
He might not understand what was happening but kids notoriously parrot things they hear adults saying. So Lady Van Tassel made sure to get rid of everyone who could possibly spill her secret plot.
