I absolutely enjoyed this movie.
I saw it out of the blue late one night. I had missed the beginning but I absolutely enjoyed watching it to the end.

shareYeah, I was over my friends house and she had it, and we recognized Ryan Merriman so we watched it. It was such a funny movie, I loved it.
shareI remember seeing this film years ago on TV and could not remember the name of it. It was a surprisingly really good enjoyable flick. I hope to find it on DVD someday.
shareExactly the same for me. Almost made me regret not having grown up in the 50s without the web and all. Also Jason Alexander from Seinfeld directed this.
shareI enjoyed it! Its not exactly my favorite coming of age movie, but its up there. A cute movie, that definately didn't get the recognition it should have. One thing though, the movie was very predictable, though most coming of age films are. I need to find this to add to my collecton

Bat, you must be psychic. I had no idea where the story was going and when it got past the half way point I suspected it was aiming to be a younger Summer of '42 classic. Who could have seen the ending coming? The whole story was charming. Of course in 1952 I was still in my teens. The clothes, the cars, the dialog was spot on. Wonderful, surprising find on HBO this afternoon. The writing was terrific too. "Your mother doesn't like me because I'm Italian?" No, she doesn't like you because you're not Jewish. There's a difference.
I miss Big Band music and talented singers. Leonard Cohen is my idol. Civility, harmony, unity!
You right it's a great movie I really enjoyed it. My daddy said that it reminds him of his younger days,
shareThis movie is definitely worth your time. It's a real gem.
Hey there, Johnny Boy, I hope you fry!
