Anybody use the knife on a regular basis?

I dont usually use it even if i run out of ammo(which i don't usually) because i really dont like getting that close to anything. In REmake I was playing as Chris and somehow managed to kill the first zombie with ease... I wasn't so fortunate with it later on. I got bitten a lot if i tried it later. The first time was a fluke i guess. In CV i can sorta use it but its deadlier in that game. All other times though it collects dust in the item box.

The knife itself pretty much sucks in all RE games except Code Veronica, it actually really comes in handy during the beginning of the game. Just aim down with the knife to swipe at the zombies so they fall over and then finish them off. S'easy.

The knife is a weapon I have never used in ANY Resident Evil game from the first one right up to Code: Veronica. RE4 is the first game that actually makes you use the knife for somethings like smashing barrels to save on ammo. Where as in RE and RE2 and also RE:N and RE:CV I dumped the knife at the very first item box I came across and never touched it again during the gameplay. It takes up valuable item space.

U will die very fast / in a very short time after you used knife only without any guns/weapons.
