shareI always wonder if it was planned that way from the beginning or did Zemeckis decide "Well I've got this crew here that I have to pay anyway" and just reach into a pile and pulled this script out of it.

He said something like he had to make this total turd to finish Cast Away, I don't remember if he said something like it was part of his contract.
Zemeckis doing a movie on auto-pilot is better than 95% of other filmmakers trying their best.
