Be a Lisbon Sister
The next time you and your buddies go hunting, do it dressed as the Lisbon sisters.

With several exceptions, most notably Lux's halter top, these are the outfits they wore in the girls'introductory scene, when they're stepping from the station wagon. The red shirt was worn when Trip visited the Lisbons to watch tv. Her white undies were pinkened by a wash cycle or two with the red shirt? http://screenmusings.org/TheVirginSuicides/pages/TVS_588.htm
Mary's tartan skirt would be part of their private school school uniform, and Bonnie's striped shirt was worn when Peter Sissen had dinner at their house. I'm not sure about Therese's granny skirt. Ceel didn't wear socks onscreen, they went with flip flops; in the book it was Converse sneakers (high tops?)
Your guess is as good as mine as to why the 15th anniversary of The Virgin Suicides movie occasions a fashion collection release. Resurgent nostalgia doesn't follow an exact timetable, but while the 15 year mark at best may anticipate a renewed interest in years to come, for casual fans, it needs to gestate a few more years before they can get into it again.
Do teenage girls spend this kind of money on clothes?
