Everyone wants to know why ...

When the reality for tragic events as well as all others is quite simply ...

Just because ...

When you realize that all life is a random set of happenstances weaving together the stories of billions of people you'll enjoy your place amongst them so much the more.

Truth is, there isn't any explanation for the deaths of the girls and there isn't any explanation for their lives as well. People want to know there is a reason for something happening and should just accept that the only reason is: Shyt Happens.

Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about.
be kind, rewind...

I actually disagree. The problem is more closely explained as people wanting an explanation because they assume that the causation of the event is simplistic enough to actually track and explain. The reality is that our lives are influenced by everything, down to the most minute details and is impossible to currently track and explain.

Was there causation for their suicides? Of course there was, but that isn't what the film is showing. I believe the intent of the film was to depict the complexity of life and the general inability for us to track why people do things when we only ever truly know but a small fraction of one's actual life. Especially considering that the bulk of the human experience is internalized and hidden.
