Anyone else notice a resemblance?

Terrible movie. But of interest to me for one reason. Alison Elliott is a startling precursor to Kristen Stewart. Saw her in "Wings of a Dove" when it was new. But that was before there was a Kristen Stewart to compare her to. Seeing Trance aka The Eternal now in 2022, I was blown away by the Elliott/Stewart similarities. The physical resemblance is certainly strong. But there are continual pre-echoes of the whole Kristen Stewart vibe as well. Yet I find Elliott superior on virtually all levels. The traits that make Stewart's work so unappealing to me - the perpetual physical and emotional slouch, the monotonous low-energy line delivery, the general air of being simultaneously uncomfortable in her own skin and arrogant - are all dialed way, way down in Alison Elliott. And filtered through levels of nuance, versatility and skill I've never detected in any Kristen Stewart performance. Plus though physically similar, I think she's prettier than Stewart. Bottom line, I'd gladly watch Elliott in other films. Seems like a substantial talent and an appealing presence. No longer have any interest in seeing more of Kristen Stewart's output.
