I recently watched the finale again and had the same reaction as when I first saw it, no way could they have kids the same age. Grace was already AT LEAST 6 months pregnant when she got back together with Leo. Hard to believe Will would get back together with Vince, get a surrogate and have child all within a few months.

Sometimes kids have to do 1 or 2 extra years while in highschool or even elementary school. Perhaps Grace's daughter was one of them? And it's not really possible to tell the difference between teens. Sometimes a 17 year old looks like a 19 year old and vice versa. To study together they don't have to be the exact same age.
But do as I do, I act as if the final episode never happened. Hell I act as if most of season 8 never happened!
Maybe grace's daughter took a year off to travel. Or maybe depending when he was born could have start school at 4 instead of 5 years old. Hey it is tv they can do whatever they want.
