A series with gay protagonist, NEED HELP FINDING PLZ

Hey guys,
sorry to do this here on Will & Grace, but I remember coming across this episode on TV once, and the protagonist was some middle-aged gay man and I know this is way specific and of little indication but in that episode he was talking to all his friends at the end and said something like he was in bed with this much younger guy and he 'released' all over him and all his friends go "eww".
So the tone of the show was a bit provocative and globally portrayed the main character as something of a great man or at least a very strong personality.

The series I believe was from the late 90's or early-mid 2000's. American.
