Where are the teachers in this school?

When Fern fainted and was covered with the signs in the middle of the hall, why didn't any teachers notice and help her? Since she apparently offended the whole student body, I guess that is why none of the students helped, but why not teachers? I know that would not fit in the movie, so that is the reasoning I am going by, but the idea of teachers just leaving a student with a head injury passed out on the hallway floor is just weird.

The night is a very dark time for me.

Wasn't it passing period when that happened?
I thought the teachers would be in their rooms waiting for their next class to start.

I thought many teachers waited in the hallways or there were security guards roaming around the halls.

The real question is why didn't any of the teachers notice that this "new" girl suddenly appears in their class, while another one suddenly disappeared.

Because sponges never have bad days.
