Well, Cold Warriors and Spanish Fry weren't bad but I just didn't like it much. And I don't know Star Trek and that's why Where No Fan Has Gone Before was one of the worse episodes for me

I think I've seen more parodies of Star Trek than I have of the actual series, but I still thought that the episode was a good one.

Cold Warriors I can see being a tough one to like, the actual story was just kind of "meh". But I think all of the ones that show Fry's relationship with his family have their own appeal in unique ways.

I'm surprised you didn't say one of the Zoidberg ones, like "That's Lobstertainment" or "A Taste of Freedom".

reply

Cold Warriors was a nice try, but in my opinion it tried to hard to be another "The Luck of the Fryrish", but I think it failed because the story was just too simple. And on the other hand it was not as funny as other episodes and the result was just half-baked.

And I really like Zoidberg, that helped me to like these episodes even though I have to admit that he should stay a side character.

Silence of the Clamps I think was one of the better ones of the new seasons, and even though Zoidberg wasn't front and center, I still like to think of it as a Zoidberg episode.

Overall I think Zoidberg's hilarious, just not when he's the main focus. 300 Big Boys is one of my favorite episodes and I think just about all of Zoidberg's lines in that are hilarious. "One art please!"

reply

I'm sorry but you've invalidated yourself. Spanish Fry is the best. Wooooo!

reply

The entire reboot was crap.

The original runs had some bad episodes too, but what happened to the writers and producers during the shows downtime is anyones guess.

That's not true.

It was different, it was not as good, it had more misses, but it was welcome, it was still good and it yielded some gems and a couple classics.

I didn't like how they strayed from what the fans liked about Futurama and tried to make it more "Family Guy" like with more obscure references.

Futurama has always made pop-culture references, but they weren't quite as recent and were more critiques overall. (Like Professor Farnsworth logging on to AOL and commenting on how long it took him).

I didn't care as much for the new run of the show, but you are correct, it did have some solid episodes still. Definitely more misses though.

reply

Yeah, I agree with you. It's just not crap, as the other poster said. There's some really good stuff.

reply

I forget what it is called, but it is the one with the Rock Monster on Mercury? Everyone was so out of character and there are multiple errors I can point out (one of them being, how does the sex being changed add accessories such as makeup, body hair, and behaviors changing?). It is just un unappealing episode IMO.

Jurrasic Bark

If i had $1 everytime i had no clue what was going on, id ask people why they were giving me dollars

reply

I love this episode! I've got nichelle Nichols and Walter koenings signatures on the disc that has that episode on it!

reply

Pretty much all episodes from season 7 are the worst, the writing is so bad compared to the other stuff, some of the jokes just makes you cringe

reply

assie come home is by far the worst episode. It had the most nonsensical idiotic ending. the whole episode built up to a lassie spoof that seems to have been written by eighth graders. Just really juvenile cheesy unintelligent comedy. A harder thing would be to list my favorite episode as there are many very good ones. And the movies kicked ass too

reply

Well, there are very few episodes of Futurama that I didn't like much. Loved most of it!

So here goes for those few (in no particular order):

My Three Suns
The Honking
The Cryonic Woman
That's Lobestertainment!
Bendin' in the Wind
The Sting
In-a-Gadda-Da-Leela
Mobius Dick
Yo Leela-Leela
Cold Warriors
The Butterjunk Effect

Attack of the Killer App listed as one of the worst? I found it excellent satire on our current i-phone etc. craze, lol

reply

I think that "Attack of the Killer App" had a good thought but didn't do the job well anyway. The jokes and the story were just too obvious for me. But one thing was nice, didn't it contain the scene with Fry saying: "Shut up and take my money!"?

I really liked "My Three Suns". Whole first season was almost flawless in my opinion. But I agree with the rest.

Yup, that is the episode where Fry says "shut and take my money!" lol

I agree that the execution of the idea wasn't great, but I loved the idea of the episode and also loved at the end when Mom says "dumb bastards" with such a self-satisfied smile.

The Susan Boyle joke was a bit meh though.
