Leela & Amy

Let's be clear first, Futurama is AMAZING! i`m just sick of movies and tv shows that forcing immorality! Leela is easy to seduce by everyone, just not Fry who loves her truly.
I love her but that bothers me. Amy is Adorable but complete mess! Episode 4 "Proposition Infinity" a very bad message for younger viewers. Talk about bad guys are better than good. This is animated comedy show, the main theme should be humor not immorality and some other wrong messages for viewers.

Good point, comrade. Say, let's get a group together soon for a screening of Left Behind, yeah?

Anyone here mentions Hotel California dies before the first line clears his lips.

reply

hahaha nice one

I can't tell if you've watched the later seasons, but if "Proposition Infinity" bothered you, you probably should quit watching while you're still ahead.

FWIW, in the later seasons the writers increasingly amped up the sleaze 'n tease factor.

My guess is that we have very different ideas of "morality", but even though I wasn't exactly morally outraged at this trend, I was turned off at how dumb and trashy the characters became.

I guarantee that in the final seasons, "wholesome" did not appear on the production team's list of priorities. 😉

I watched all seasons and episodes. And i feel u for characters. For me Futurama is great show, humor is ok. I do not regret minutes spent on watching. It bothers me only why they mix humor with unnecessary immorality. I know that most of this is to me. I grew up learning moral, true love etc.

Is it controversal? In your time, yes. Now, though, SHUT UP

reply

I'd plow Amy all day

That's usually how it goes. Leela doesn't have the same connection with Fry as he feels he has with her. At least she's direct with him and doesn't keep him in the friend zone.

Keep at it though, as the characters get older, Leela's more interested in the things that Fry has to offer.

It's very telling that you don't talk about Bender picking women up at the bar or Fry's one night stands.

reply

This show isn't exactly for "younger viewers."

reply

this show was my childhood watched it everyday after the simpsons

reply

That was one of the crappier episodes of Futurama, and I typically don't watch it. It was a stupid, poorly disguised propaganda episode for Proposition 8 that was presented in California.

Never mind that the majority of Californians didn't want homosexual unions to be legal. The proponents, of course, threw a tantrum like babies and had one of their lawdaddies (a sympathetic, activist judge) overthrow the will of the Californian people, so LGBT unions became legal anyway.

reply

Wrong, wrong and wrong again.
Where do you think the majority of Cali people don't support people being who they are?
Put up a vote and you will get your answer, not legislators supporting their meager constituency with bullying tactics.

reply

Yes, a majority (52:48) voted for prop 8, blacks even higher. The maps shows where Libtardia is.

The cry bullies went completely PSYCHO!

After the results were certified and same-sex marriages ceased, supporters of the initiative were targeted by opponents with actions ranging from some opponents publicly shaming supporters by disclosing their names and addresses online, causing many individual supporters to lose their jobs, and boycotting proponents' businesses and employers to others threatening supporters with murder and vandalizing their homes and property. The actions against supporters of Proposition 8 became the focus after the election due to a full page opinion ad paid for by the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty appearing in The New York Times. The piece accused the LGBT community of backlash, "mob veto", and urged violence against the supporters to cease. The opinion ad was signed by 13 men who represented various Christian and Jewish groups.[13]

You lost me at "Libtardia"
Sorry for your subsequent and fruitless effort.
Maybe your fingers have had a good workout, and I'm happy for that.

reply

Still wrong and stupid. I bet you retype stuff from Wikipedia.
