shareI was thinking that as when Bianca puts on their mum's pearls, Kat is angry for wearing them and Bianca says 'its not like she's coming back to claims them' but when Kat is telling Bianca about her and Joey going out, she says it was 'right after mum left'.
Its been 3 years for them and If her stuff (dunno how much) is still there and 'she's not coming back to claim them' (sorry if this sounds harsh to any1) that sounds like someone who may have passed away.
I find it hard to believe any child would describe their mothers death as having 'left'.

Well, maybe that's because she didn't become a "shrew" because her mother left, but after she slept with Joey and he dumped her when she wouldn't do it again. Kat tells Bianca exactly this during Kat's revelation regarding Joey. That's when she said she decided to no longer be what people wanted her to be.
