Where do the laughs go?

The film has a very funny first 30 minutes or so, and then bar a couple, the laughs completely dry up after that. I get that it's a romantic comedy, so some romance needs to be in there, but the story isn't that intriguing, and there needed to be more comedy towards the end.

Interesting, I find it hilarious all the way through. It's a romantic comedy, yes, but it has way more wit than most romantic comedies. I think it was inevitable for it to become a little more serious towards the end.
