Jack Lemmon's involvement
Anyone know why he was uncredited? Seems bizarre as his apperarances bookend the film and his narration is the central part of it. Did he maybe ask to be removed?
shareSFuller401, someone answered your question in another thread, and here is the response in regards to Jack Lemmon being uncredited:
"This was actually by his own request. He felt everyone would recognize him, and those that knew him would understand why he took the part. To him, the character felt much like he did in life.
Perhaps he had a sense he was near the end, but no one can answer that for certain."
Thx. I didn't realise but I'm glad if it was his decison - it would have seemed an extraordinary oversight or would have showed a terrible lack of respect had it been any other way.
