definetely a golf movie

I actually saw this movie with my brother and he is a hardcore golfer. I never played and I thought the movie was lame and dull. My brother on the other hand thought that it was deep and touching. Does anyone agree that you have to be a golf fan to get what this movie was trying to say??

No - it helps to have an appreciation for philosophy, since it's really just an analogous story to the Bhagvadgita (sp?). It has a lot of parallels to learning about Zen, too.

As a golfer, I was attracted to this movie for the golf aspects. But after seeing it, I realized there is soo much more to it.

I am not a golfer but I loved the movie. I felt it was quite entertaining.
