Most of these questions can be answered if you read the book. As usual it is much better than the movie and it explains a little more in detail about Bagger Vance. But kudos to the casting director for choosing Will Smith to portray him!!!
shareAbsolutely! The golf is irrelevant. It could alternately have been named "Zen and the Art of Golf". Wonderful movie...better book.
shareAgreed! As perfect as this movie is, the book is a great read also. One of the nicer things I liked about the movie tho' is that you don't find out who Bagger is until the very end. In the book, you realize who he is about mid-way through.
