Random sequences in the movie

I only caught 3/4 of the movie near the end, post speech and I noticed a few random sequences that were really "what-the" sequences.

1. The monkey suit guy in the crowd fighting during a Knights vs Sharks game. Since neither had a monkey as a mascot -- what was that scene about?

2. The sequence where Diaz is talking with Charlton Heston in the executive box and there is a shot where it shows Diaz talking, but Heston is hidden behind a partition, or something, and yet they are still talking.

3. The constant jumping of shots between Diaz/Heston's face.

Where there any others?

There were plenty of others - it's an Oliver Stone movie.

There's a totally random shot of planet Earth after Jack Rose types about Willie Beaman. Why that was there, we'll never know.

But if you think that stuff was random, try watching Natural Born Killers. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0110632/ Watching that movie is like having ADHD.

Well, they SEEM random but it's not like they are totally unexplainable. Maybe the monkey suit guy is fan of another team and came to this game with his costume anyway. And maybe the Sharks are the direct rivals of the Monkeys and he wants the Knights to win.

Then again it as well be a goof. Maybe they shot that scene early on and at that time they planned to have Monkeys team as opponent. And later they thought "Knights" would do better.
