A back-up to Willie??

Did they sign a back-up to Willie (more of an emergency guy)? Risky to have 1 healthy qb on the roster.

The Houston Texans a couple of seasons ago were down to their 3rd-string qb.

They didn't need to. Cherubini (the 2nd string QB) wasn't injured that bad, he starts the second game but gets pulled for Willie.

They had a rubbish QB in reserve!

there's a scene in practice when 4 QB's drop back to throw simutaneously; one is Cap, Beamen, and Cherubini as well as a 4th QB whom we don't seem to see; so they may well have continued to dress two backups.
