Did Willie Beamin get back together with Vanessa?

I had to leave and couldn't finish the entire movie, but I left off right after they fought because he ignored her at a party. Can anyone tell me what happened? It seems the loyal girlfriend always gets thrown away when the athlete makes it big!

Close to the end of the movie, Beamen runs into vanessa in a club. He then begs her to go back out with him. She accepts.
