anyone here read this book on the Crisis?

No, I have not read that account yet. It is on my endless 'To read' list. I did find the accounts of the Crisis in the books 'The Crisis Years: Kennedy and Krushchev, 1960-1963' by Michael R. Beschloss and 'President Kennedy: Profile Of Power' by Richard Reeves to be very compelling and informative, though.

In the middle of reading "Defcon-2"...pretty good book. It goes deeper than just the political climate, lots of details regarding the hardware that the Soviets installed in Cuba.
