Bruce Greenwood best Kennedy look-a-like?

I'm sure there's a lot of people out there that look like JFK. I'm sure there's a lot of lesser known actors (no name actors) that look a lot like JFK.

But I think Greenwood looks the most like Kennedy when comparing him to other actors in the business whether they're stars, character actors or just supporting players.

What do u think? Can u think of a "name" actor who looks more like President Kennedy than Bruce Greenwood.

So far he is my favorite. Not only based on looks but performance as well. He did the accent and mannerisms in a low-key, unforced manner...never strayed anywhere close to caricature. Nice.

Agreed. He never forced it or over did the accent as most do.

Although Martin Sheen did a great Kennedy too and he had to carry a 4 hour mini-series. I thought he did a great Kennedy.

I'd like to see a big budget biopic on JFK with Dicaprio or Pitt as Kennedy. Pitt looks a bit like Jack Kennedy and is the perfect age. Don't know if he could get the accent down. Pitt is a great actor but he's not very good with certain accents. Dicaprio would give a better performance.

I like Greenwood's the best. Sheen (who you mentioned) is good also.

I also thought William Devane was quite good as JFK in the excellent 1974 TV film 'The Missiles of October'.

Patrick Dempsey was good playing a young JFK in the 1993 TV movie 'J.F.K.: Reckless Youth'.

It will be interesting to see if Greg Kinnear can pull off playing Kennedy convincingly in the History Channel miniseries on JFK.

Frank: Just a man.
Harmonica: An ancient race.

Kinnear as JFK. I don't see it. But it will be interesting to see what he does.

When is this mini-series supposed to air?

I have "The Missiles of October" on VHS...ANYBODY know if its been released to DVD yet?

Just wondering. I'd like to watch it, but the damn quality just isn't good enough being an old VHS. I'd like to enjoy it without having a remote in my hand messing with the tracking every 5 minutes. Why couldn't they figure out this DVD thing back in the day instead of these loops of video tape spooled onto a cheap plastic frame? LOL

Yes, it has been. I think the DVD has quite decent picture quality though the sound could be better. I enjoy watching it to compare with 'Thirteen Days'.

Personally, I think William Devane was the best Kennedy look-a-like in "The Missiles of October" which of course covered the same grounds as "Thirteen Days." Of all the actors I've seen portray JFK, Devane was the closest approximation in physical resemblence that I've seen.

Greenwood by far the best

I'm not that familiar with Greenwood as an actor, but he was amazing in the role of Kennedy with all the nuances, including the careful way he sat down because of Kennedy's back problems. I was very impressed with Greenwood.
