All about cigars. The "missiles" were cigars!

The mafia wanted to control cigar sales just like back in prohibition days of yore.

In interviews the generals, cabinet, and others were known to smoke in each others faces just to spite them...cull their views.

Kind of makes debate in Congress look lame.

However, as pointed out by Chris Rock (I think) and also Charlie Murphy on Chappelle show---neither of those can hold a CANDLE to the days of Hamilton and Washington:

Today you have a greivance with another lawmaker.
"They're all 'I condemn you and Congress'."

You had a grievance back then?
"They were hardcore. Them *beep* had a gunfight!"

I look back, and you can say it was a "gentlemanly" way to settle differences, but we all know that was HARDCORE! One of you had to go! One of you was gonna die (unless both missed/purposely shot in air as a means to show they don't want to really kill you---Hamilton is thought to have shot into the air to show he didn't want to really shoot Aaron Burr---of course we all know what happened that day). For such an enlightened time with the Declaration of Independence, new nation, and more---you're really going to shoot a fellow lawmaker over a grievance!?

Can you imagine that today?!

Some southern democrat is angry at some red stater over a possible bill on immigration and they get in front of the Capital Building each with a .45?!
CNN, Foxnews, ABC, CBS, NBC, and PBS all covering?

LIVE COVERAGE ...news ticker on the bottom on the screen talking about stocks...meanwhile it shows each man, assisted by aides just brushing off dust, adjusting their ties, checking the magazine is in fact loaded with a bullet chambered and cocked, and then with narration,"Okay it seems to be starting---here is Senator Kelly and Congressman Phelps and they're about to settle their differences over HR BILL 3474's language."
