Did Sinatra really build a westwing to the White House????

Did SInatra really build a west wing of the white house? If so- what became of it?

An addition to the whithouse? I think you mean when he built the addition for Kennedy to stay at while Jack was visiting California at his own home. If you read the book, the Rat Pack, they explain that it did happen.

Jesus Christ ! What movie did you watch ? Is there anybody out there who is so simpleminded as to beleive that Sinatra ever built a West Wing to the White House ! Please tell me that you are joking or you will bring discredit and damnation on this website for ever ! Of course Sinatra didn't build a bloody wing to the White House, you dimwit. Corrupt though just about every administration that has ever occupied it, no US President or staff would EVER in a trillion years allow anybody so defiled as Sinatra to build anything even near the bloody White House. Speaking for myself, I wouldn't let that abominable man build a rubbit hutch on a *beep* desert island. What that wretched man did was to build a extension to his own miserable hovel - the joke was that it was called the West Wing since it was out in California or Arizona or Nevada or whereever that corrupt and depraved bugger lived !!!!

The folks who really know are no longer with us, and when they were they didn't say. However, it is a well-known fact that President Kennedy stayed at Bing Crosby's home when he visited California after his election, and after all the campaigning Sinatra did for him during the election it was probably a kick in the gut to him when the Prez. decided to stay at Republican Bing's estate. FYI - Sinatra in later years was a Reagan-Democrat and supported the Republican Gov. in his successful bid for the presidency. Nancy & Ronald Reagan also awarded Sinatra with the Presidential Medal of Freedom in the early years of his presidency. So as they say politics & entertainment make strange bedfellows.

It's a simple misunderstanding, you just heard it wrong. Sinatra built a new wing on his Palm Springs home for JFK. It was unofficially dubbed "The Western White House".

Is this how you'd spend your last day on Earth? -No one

According to Shawn Levy's biography of the Rat Pack (Rat Pack Confidential) Sinatra started construction of several units to his Palm Springs mansion anticipating a visit from Kennedy.
