Didn't Uncle Ben have life insurance?

shareIn the comics it's mentioned he had a pension but that the pension stopped once he dies. So Aunt May has financial problems because of it. I admit it's forced drama. Unlike the movie it's never said what Uncle Ben did for a living.
shareI was re-watching this last night, and it is kind of interesting that Aunt May tells Ben (at the beginning when he's worrying about providing for his family) that he is the "most responsible person she's even known" or something to that effect.
shareThat happened to my grandmother. She had her own pension so when he passed away, his pension ended. Poor financial planning on their part.
