I can't, for the life of me, work out the song that is playing when Amy and Oscar are in Amy's apartment. Amy is getting into the shower and instructs Oscar to hit 'play' on the CD player. I want to know the title and artist of the orchestral song that starts playing as Oscar goofs around in the kitchen!
It is one of two Latin songs in the movie. Brazil by Ary Barroso is being played by the orchestra during the cocktail hour prior to the viewing of the construction models.
So that leaves, but I won't stake me life on it :-) "Pao De Acucar" Written by Daniel Indart Performed by Daniel Indart Quartet Courtesy of Latin Music Specialists
I did not go on the net and look for an mp3 recording of this song to confirm it, however I went to a "download for pay site" for the soundtrack, but this song was not listed as one of the tracks on the CD. Paul
I was lucky enough to find the CD a couple of years ago - alas, neither of the songs you mentioned were included on it. I've found an mp3 recording of "Brasil" (Ary Barroso), but can't find any info re: "Pao De Acucar". I'm thinking this is the song i'm looking for. Thanks!
There is a "contact us" button at the top of the page. You might be able to order the MP3 or the CD that contains this song from them. In the meantime I'll try and locate the song for you.
I just visited the site and listened to the song - unfortunately, it's still not the song i'm looking for. I appreciate all your efforts in helping me find it!
The song in Amy's appartment (a tango) is not on the soundtrack, by deduction and taking into account the films song credits.
I'm going for a very a educated guess of Pao de Acucar by the Daniel Indart Quartet (Pao de Acucar means the Sugar loaf mountain in Buenos Aires, argentina).
No other of the non soundtrack songs are possibly tango's, which makes this a probable right answer.
If you want to see I how got to this conclusion, look at all the songs in the movie.

However, it still doesn't sound like the song i'm looking for! I'm wondering if it was a song especially produced for the film, but even that would be listed in the film's soundtrack. Sigh.
Go take a step outside - see what's shaking in the real world.
